A Virginia man facing indecent liberties with a child charges in Cumberland County was extradited to North Carolina Tuesday.

<b>FAYETTEVILLE, N.C.</b> — A Virginia man facing indecent liberties with a child charges in Cumberland County was extradited to North Carolina Tuesday.

The Cumberland County Sheriff's Office alleges that Brent Ashley McKinney, 42, of Christiansburg, Va., took indecent liberties with a 12-year-old girl between September 2004 and July 2005.

He also faces 14 sexual assault charges involving a second child in Cumberland County.

McKinney, who was arrested earlier this month in Christiansburg, was being held Tuesday in the Cumberland County jail under a $2.35 million bond. He is due in court Wednesday.

The sheriff's office said McKinney faces similar charges in Virginia and is being investigated by other law enforcement agencies in North Carolina.
