First look: Opening the time capsule found inside Confederate monument

Archaeologists and conservators from the North Carolina Department of Natural and Cultural Resources are carefully removing and cataloging items found inside a time capsule that was buried in 1894 beneath the cornerstone of the Confederate Soldiers Monument on Union Square in Raleigh.
