Victim of January shooting in Durham dies; police seek clues
Durham police have upgraded the case of a Jan. 4 shooting to a homicide investigation after the victim recently died as a result of his wounds.

Dwight Grayer, 20, was stopped at a traffic light at the intersection of North Duke Street and Horton Road at about 6 p.m. on Jan. 4 when a gray vehicle pulled up next to his. The occupants of the gray vehicle fired several shots into Grayer’s car.
Grayer suffered serious injuries and Durham police said that he died recently as a result of wounds sustained during the incident.
No charges have been filed in relation to the case. Durham police said that they do not believe the shooting was a random incident.
