Veteran charged with threatening Fayetteville VA hospital
A Fayetteville man faces a federal charge of threatening the Fayetteville Veterans Affairs Medical Center.

Ryan Broderick, of 3830 Marksbury Drive, called a VA Health Resource Center in Topeka, Kan., on Jan. 29, became agitated during the call and started threatening physicians and nurses at the Fayetteville VA hospital, according to federal court records.
"Every day that goes by, I get angrier and angrier, and I want to (expletive) kill people," an FBI affidavit to obtain an arrest warrant quotes Broderick as saying. "If I don't get some (expletive) help soon, I will come to the (expletive) VA and start shooting that (expletive) up. I'm not talking about patients. I'm talking about doctors and nurses. I will come down there and kill you and everybody in that place."
The call was transferred to a VA Crisis Line, and Broderick again threatened staff at the hospital, adding that he had a gun stored in his vehicle, according to the affidavit.
