Va. Man Dies in Accident in Person County
A single-car accident left a Virginia man dead in Person County on Friday evening, troopers said.
Posted — UpdatedCurtis Miles Stebbins, 49, of Chase City, Va., was driving along N.C. Highway 49, about 1 mile north of Ray Road and 12 miles north of Roxboro, around 5:45 p.m.
Troopers said his car veered off the road onto the right shoulder, and Stebbins over-corrected and crossed over the left shoulder. He then over-corrected again and ran off to the right shoulder.
The car overturned, and Stebbins was partially ejected, officials said.
Troopers said Stebbins was not wearing a seat-belt, and no alcohol was involved in the accident.
