US marshals round up 152 fugitives in Cumberland County
Local, state and federal law enforcement officials swept up 152 wanted people and seized drugs and firearms during an operation in Cumberland County Tuesday.
Posted — UpdatedThe U.S. Marshals Service announced Thursday that Operation Swift Justice was conducted to catch the county's most wanted fugitives. The suspects were wanted for a variety of offenses including assault, firearms, narcotics, and probation violation.
Among the most notable arrests were Teyah Butler, 20, who was wanted by the FBI on robbery, kidnapping and conspiracy charges, and Brendell Davis, 42, who was wanted by Greensboro police on assault, robbery, kidnapping and other charges.
In addition to the arrests, officials say 202 warrants were served. More arrests are expected as officers follow up on information gathered during the operation.
