Two sought in Raleigh kidnapping

Raleigh police were searching for two suspects Friday morning in connection with a break-in and kidnapping that happened Thursday night.

RALEIGH, N.C. — Raleigh police were searching for two suspects Friday morning in connection with a break-in and kidnapping that happened Thursday night.

Investigators say the suspects broke into an apartment on Brentwood Road and forced at gunpoint two men in their mid-20s into a car.

While traveling on New Hope Road, one of the victims grabbed the steering wheel, causing the car to hit an SUV, police said.

Both vehicles flipped, and the suspects ran away.The victims were OK. Two people in the SUV were taken to a local hospital for treatment of minor injuries.

Police recovered two handguns at the scene of the wreck.
