Two hospitalized in Durham drive-by

Authorities said that two men were shot near the intersection of Fayetteville Road and Cornwallis Road near a Tobacco Mini-Mart.

DURHAM, N.C. — Two people were hospitalized Monday night following a drive-by shooting in Durham.

Authorities said that two men were shot at about 9 p.m. near the intersection of Fayetteville Road and Cornwallis Road near a Tobacco Mini-Mart.

One man was shot in the leg while the other was shot in the abdominal area. Both were taken to Duke University Hospital and are expected to survive.

Police said that the shooter pulled up next to the men on Fayetteville Road and opened fire. No arrests have been made, and no further information was immediately available.
