Two firefighters injured, one hospitalized after Durham house fire
Two firefighters were injured Friday afternoon battling a house fire on South Bend Drive in Durham.

DURHAM, N.C. — Two firefighters were injured Friday afternoon while battling a house fire on South Bend Drive in Durham.
Dozens of firefighters responded to the scene shortly before 4 p.m.
As firefighters entered the building, the roof collapsed, injuring two of them. One firefighter was taken to the hospital with burns, while the other was treated on-site.
Emergency crews said they witnessed a woman escaping the burning house by jumping out a window.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
