Two escape from Richmond County prison
Two inmates serving time for violating their probation escaped Sunday night from Morrison Correctional Institution in Richmond County, according to the state Department of Public Safety.

HOFFMAN, N.C. — Two inmates serving time for breaking and entering escaped Sunday night from Morrison Correctional Institution in Richmond County, according to the state Department of Public Safety.
A DPS spokesman said Jacob Pilkington and Frankie Noles were thought to have gone over the fence outside a minimum security unit at the Hoffman facility at about 10 p.m.
Both men had projected release dates in 2015.
Pilkington, 20, has ties to Rowan County, and Noles, 22, has ties to McDowell County, DPS said.
