GARNER, N.C. — Police charged two people from Savannah, Ga., Wednesday in a July 31 shooting that killed a Garner man.

Ramon Antonyo Black, 25, was charged with murder, and Ciara Timesha Jefferies, 24, was charged as an accessory to murder, police said. They were arrested last week in Savannah and are awaiting extradition.

Kyevon Diates Frazzell Gayles, 35, was shot at an apartment complex on Seventh Avenue, across from the Garner Police Department, and he died five days later.

Police released no information about a possible motive in the shooting or what evidence led them to charge Black and Jefferies.
