Two Bragg soldiers die in Afghanistan

Two soldiers from Fort Bragg died from wounds they suffered in Afghanistan, Department of Defense officials said Friday.

Two soldiers from Fort Bragg died from wounds they suffered in Afghanistan, Department of Defense officials said Friday.

Spc. John A. Pelham, 22, of Portland, Ore., and Sgt. 1st Class Robert C. Skelt, 41, of York, Fla., died Wednesday in Kapisa Province after they were struck by small arms fire.

The men were assigned to 2nd Battalion, 3rd Special Forces Group at Fort Bragg.

The death of another soldier from the same unit was announced Thursday.

Spc. Christopher A. Landis, 27, of Independence, Ky., died on Bagram Airfield after being wounded when his dismounted patrol was hit by a rocket-propelled grenade in Kapisa Province, officials said.
