Two arrested in separate Durham shootings
Durham police arrested two men Wednesday wanted in connection with separate shootings in the past two weeks.
Posted — UpdatedMichael Maurice Gill, 19, of Bacon Street, was taken into custody on Dayton Street. He is charged with felony conspiracy and assault with a deadly weapon in a May 3 shooting on Liberty Street that sent a man to the hospital.
Gill was in the Durham County jail Thursday under a $225,000 bond.
Police on Wednesday also arrested Calvin Montrell Harris, 27, of Kingston Mill Court, in connection with a May 5 shooting on South Elm Street.
Harris is charged with assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury and shooting into an occupied vehicle. He was in the Durham County jail Thursday under a $1 million bond.
