Two accused of setting fire at Raleigh library
Police arrested two Raleigh men early Tuesday in connection with fires at a local library and elementary school.

Firefighters responded around 3:45 a.m. to Leesville Community Library, at 5015 Country Trail, where they found someone had placed pyrotechnic smoke bombs into the library's book depository.
They found a second fire a half-mile away in a trash can at Leesville Elementary School, at 8402 Pride Way.
Parker Daniel Bruer, 18, of 5933 Dunbarton Way, and Daniel James Lunsford, 19, of 4105 Worley Drive, were later arrested on a charge of burning a public building
Lunsford also faces a charge of damage to property in connection with the school fire.
Both men were jailed under $20,000 bonds Tuesday night.
The library, meanwhile, remains closed. Wake County General Services Director Dave Goodwin said the fire caused damage in several functional areas of the library.
"We have begun assessing the damage to determine what the next steps may be and when it may be possible to re-open the library," he said.
