Truck overturns on N.C. 55 in Apex
A truck overturned and spilled tar on N.C. Highway 55 south near U.S. 1 Friday morning. The crash caused one lane to be blocked, authorities said.

APEX, N.C. — A truck overturned and spilled tar on N.C. Highway 55 south near U.S. 1 in Apex Friday morning. The crash caused two of three lanes to be blocked for more than three hours, authorities said.
Capt. Ann Stephens, spokeswoman for Apex police, said the load inside the truck shifted, causing the truck to tip. No other vehicles were involved.
Driver Estobon Garcia Perez was unhurt, Stephens said.
