FOUR OAKS, N.C. — No injuries were reported Tuesday morning when a tractor-trailer carrying dry ice caught fire on the shoulder of Interstate 95 South in Johnston County.

The fire started near mile marker 89, in Four Oaks, shortly after 6 a.m., according to responding firefighters.

The driver of the tractor-trailer disconnected the cab of the truck and pulled it away from the trailer after the fire started because of a blown rear tire.
