RALEIGH, N.C. — A truck traveling through the intersection of Wake Forest and Six Forks roads caused a broken utility pole on Friday, Raleigh police said.

Police said the bed of the truck contained a mobile trash container that made contact with a traffic light as the truck made a left turn onto Wake Forest Road. The traffic signal moved, breaking the utility pole the signal was attached to, according to the wreck report.

The driver, Randall Allen Wooten, of Angier, was operating the truck, owned by WCA of North Carolina LP. Wooten told police that the lift bed of the truck was not working properly but he still drove the vehicle.
