Thanks to the reader who asked me Sunday when trick or treating will be in Roxboro this year, I have an update for you.

I called both the Roxboro Police Department and Person County Sheriff's Department this morning and learned that both offices are calling for trick or treating on Saturday, Oct. 30, not Sunday, Oct. 31. I'm told that it's only moved to Saturday when Oct. 31 falls on a Sunday.

Recommended hours are from about 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Fayetteville Police Department also is urging residents to trick or treat on Saturday. And Cumberland County's Sheriff's Department has set for 6 p.m. tol 8 p.m. Saturday.

Looking for the word from other towns, cities and counties in the region? See my earlier "When is Halloween?" post.
And I'll use this as another opportunity to plug our Halloween and fall fun guide too.
