RALEIGH, N.C. — Chapel Hill's Franklin Street is getting a gourmet hot dog shop. The Wilmington-based chain, Trolly Stop Hot Dogs, will be located at 306 W. Franklin St. It is hoping to open around March 1, according to its Facebook page. In addition to hot dogs, the restaurant also serves burgers.
The Raleigh Beer Garden, a joint venture between Hibernian owner Niall Hanley and former Epic games designer Cliff "Cliffy B" Bleszinski, is planning to open in mid-April or May, the News and Observer reports. It will be located at 614 Glenwood Ave.
Pho Pho Noodle Kitchen and Bar is targeting a March 6 opening, the News and Observer reports. The restaurant, from the owner of Sushi Blues, will be located at 510 Glenwood in the same building as Shucker's Oyster Bar.
Raleigh will be getting a kitchen incubator, similar to The Cookery in Durham, New Raleigh reports. No other information was provided.
Burger Bach, a New Zealand-inspired gastro-pub and burger restaurant, will open on March 9 on Ninth Street in Durham.
Also in Durham, the Rx Wine Lab will open this weekend with a pop-up wine bar at Golden Belt, at 807 E. Main St. The intimate 16-seat wine bar will offer wine service every Friday and Saturday night (6 p.m. to 11 p.m.) and will hold classes during the week. The owners are working on plans to open a permanent location in downtown Durham.
One more thing: Our friend Triangle Food Guy aka Sean Lennard and Q Shack North Hills owner Tom Meyer have a friendly wager going on the UNC vs. Duke basketball game on March 7. Tom is a Duke alumni and Sean went to UNC. The loser will have to sport the opposing team's jersey and a sign in support of that team's coach.

But on the most important part: This wager will involved special sandwiches that will generate proceeds for the Food Bank of Central and Eastern Carolina.

If Duke wins, Q-Shack will offer The BB1K - an NC tri tip with an onion aioli, hoop cheese and hot pepper relish.

If UNC wins, Q-Shack will offer the The Roy Boy - an NC pork belly sandwich with sautéed collards and hoop cheese.

Ten percent of sales of the winning sandwich in March will be donated to the food bank.
