KNIGHTDALE, N.C. — This weekend I tackle a personal feat I have been training over the last few months. I am running my first half marathon on Sunday at Bull City Race Fest. For those not familiar with the race, in addition to the half marathon, there is also a mile fun run and five mile run. At the finish line, my motivation, there will be a food truck rodeo. This year's nonprofit partner is Habitat for Humanity.

In addition to myself, fellow WRAL Out and About contributors Triangle Explorer and Triangle Food Guy are also running.

One question I seem to get is, when is Sol Tacos coming back? Well, this Tuesday Chef Schaumann will bring back the tacos that made his green truck famous. They will be on the menu for the Berkeley Cafe’s Takeover Tuesday.
On Saturday, Knightdale will host its first ever Drafts & Carafes Festival at Knightdale Station Park. Food trucks Bam Pow Chow, Brachi – Le Petit Roll, Cousins Maine Lobster, and Two Roosters Ice Cream will be there. Two Roosters’ trademark is to collaborate with other vendors at special events. Perhaps the breweries involved Brueprint, Bull City Ciderworks, Compass Rose, Double Barley, Gizmo, Lonerider, and NickelPoint might be on that list. For wine drinkers, Adams Vineyards, Gregory Vineyards and Neusiok wines will be there.
On Sunday, The Five Points Neighborhood in Raleigh is also organizing a food truck rodeo in conjunction with its Fall Festival. The Facebook Page announced Pie Pushers and Deli-icious will be there with more to be announced.
