Trial Delayed for Teen Charged in Parents' Slayings
The murder trial of a Chapel Hill teen accused of killing his parents two years ago has been delayed again.

Adam Sapikowski, 19, is charged with two counts of murder in the May 2005 slayings of James and Allison Sapikowski in their upscale Chapel Hill home.
The bodies had been wrapped in blankets and were in a barricaded room in the house, and police said they likely had been there for weeks. Adam Sapikowski is believed to have hosted an after-prom party at the house in the days after his parents were killed, police said.
The defense has contended that James Sapikowski abused his son.
The trial was initially set for last October, but it was delayed twice while Adam Sapikowski underwent psychiatric exams. It was postponed from March until September because of schedule conflicts with attorneys.
Scheduling is also cited as the reason the trial has now been put off until next Feb. 4. Defense attorney Rosemary Godwin is representing a Wilson man in a murder trial in September and cannot handle both trials at once, authorities said.
