Interstate 40 East has been reopened after being closed due to a wreck in Johnston County late Sunday morning, according to transportation officials.

<b>BENSON, N.C.</b> — Interstate 40 East has been reopened after being closed due to a wreck in Johnston County late Sunday morning, according to transportation officials.

State troopers said the wreck occurred at mile marker 314 near Benson shortly before 11 a.m. More details haven't been released.

Around noon, traffic cameras showed traffic delays extending from mile marker 312 at N.C. Highway 42, near the Wake-Johnston County line, to mile marker 319 onto N.C. Highway 210.
