<b>DURHAM, N.C.</b> — Painting lane markings on Interstate 85 northbound between Cole Mill Road (Exit 173) and the Duke Street/U.S. 15-501 exit (176) will close three lanes overnight Wednesday, the state Department of Transportation said Wednesday afternoon.

NCDOT scheduled the lanes to be closed from 8 p.m. Wednesday until 7 a.m. Thursday..

The work is part of the widening project on the highway.
