Three injured in two Durham shootings

Two separate shootings in Durham in less than two hours Friday night left three people injured, police said.

DURHAM, N.C. — Two separate shootings in Durham in less than two hours Friday night left three people injured.

Two people were injured in the first shooting in the 800 block of North Alston Avenue, which was reported at 9:54 p.m., police said. The second shooting took place at Old Oxford Road and Meriwether Drive around 11:20 p.m. and injured one person.

All three victims suffered non-life-threatening injuries and were taken to Duke University Hospital.

Police have not identified suspects or disclosed a motive for either shooting.
