Three arrested in robbery at Raeford Mi Casita

Hoke County deputies have identified four people as suspects in the robbery. Three of them are in custody.

RAEFORD, N.C. — Three men were arrested in Hoke County Wednesday for a botched robbery outside a Mi Casita restaurant.

According to the sheriff's office, three employees were leaving the Raeford restaurant June 26 when a man approached their van and shot into it.

One man was injured, but managed to drive to a nearby store. The suspect fled the scene.

Hoke County deputies have identified four people as suspects in the robbery. Three of them are in custody.

They have linked the shotgun believed to have been used in the robbery attempt to other crimes in the area.

Rashamell Billinger, 16, 131 Tulane Drive in Raeford, was charged with one count of attempted first-degree murder, one count of assault with a dangerous weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury, one count of attempted robbery with dangerous weapon, three counts of discharge weapon into occupied property and one count of possession of a weapon of mass destruction. Billinger was being held on $250,000 secured bond.

Kerry Kurtis Braithwaite, 20, of 314 Hawthorn Drive in Raeford, was charged with one count of attempted robbery with dangerous weapon, conspiracy and accessory after the fact. Braithwaite was being held under a $75,000 secured bond.

Jonathan Wilson Jackson, 19, of 779 South Buckeye Drive in Raeford, was charged with one felony count of attempted robbery with dangerous weapon, felony conspiracy and accessory after the fact. Jackson was being held on $25,000 secured bond.

Authorities are looking for Jevaris Charan McArn. Anyone with information on McArn's whereabouts is asked to call the Hoke County Sheriff’s office at 910-875-5111.
