Third suspect charged in fatal Raleigh shooting

Todd Antwan Harris, 23, was arrested at a Franklin County home and transported to the Wake County jail. He faces a murder charge in the shooting of Markeith Alexander Tennessee, 29, who was found dead outside a home in the 4000 block of Neeley Street around 12:30 a.m. Monday.

Harris, of 2932 Okelly St., has a lengthy criminal history, with prior convictions for assault with a deadly weapon, robbery with a dangerous weapon, second-degree kidnapping, assault on a female, possession of a stolen motor vehicle and robbery. 

Quamir Alteriq Rogers, 21, and Twanisha Stewart, 27, who also face murder charges in Tennessee's death, were arrested Monday.

Police have not offered a motive for the shooting, but said it did not appear to be random. Neighbors said Tennessee was a polite and kind man who liked helping others and didn't have any enemies.

Because of its proximity to North Carolina State University's Centennial Campus, university police issued an alert warning the campus community about the crime. There is not believed to be any connection between the victim or suspects and the university.
