Posted — UpdatedPolice are looking for a thief who drove away from a Raleigh car dealership Saturday with a shiny new toy that wasn't paid for – a 2010 Maserati Quattroporte S.
A spokesman for the Raleigh Police Department said the theft of the luxury Italian sedan happened between 8:30 a.m. and 9 a.m. from Maserati of Raleigh. It appears the thief snagged the keys from inside the dealership. More details were not available.
Police do not know whether more than one person was involved. The car, which is burgundy with a tan interior, remains missing.
Information on the value of the car was not released. However, a search of the Maserati website shows the same used models for sale between $85,000 and $116,000 at dealerships across the country.
