RALEIGH, N.C. — Our picks to help get you through the workweek:
Monday
Morrissey plays Carolina Theatre of Durham tonight. Tickets start at $41.50.
Robert Plant and the Sensational Space Shifters take the stage at Koka Booth Amphitheatre in Cary tonight. The Pixies are also on the bill. Tickets start at $50.
Tuesday
The North Carolina Home Pun Derby is tonight at DSI Comedy Theater. There will be 40 all-star punners battling head-to-head for the crown. Tickets are $6.
If you are looking for some live music: David Crosby plays Carolina Theatre of Durham tonight, while Flogging Molly rocks Red Hat Amphitheater.
Wednesday
The Broadway hit "A Few Good Men" opens tonight at Duke Energy Center's Kennedy Theatre. The show is based on the popular film. Tickets are $27 and the show has dates through the end of the month.
Thursday
Weird Al Yankovic brings his parody rock to Koka Booth Amphitheatre tonight. Tickets start at $35.
There are also some free concerts tonight: Hip Pocket plays Midtown Beach Music Series at North Hills in Raleigh and Groove Town helps close out the Live in the District Music Series at Park West Village in Morrisville.
Friday
The North Carolina Symphony continues its Summerfest series with "An Evening of Broadway" at Koka Booth Amphitheatre in Cary. Advance tickets start at $15. The show starts at 7:30 p.m.
