Monday
Colt Ford, Rob West and Jill Charles will play a special concert at Pinehurst Monday evening. The show benefits the Veteran Golfers Association. Tickets start at $20.
Also tonight, Piedmont in Durham presents the La Fenetre Wine Dinner with winemaker Josh Klapper. This 5-course, wine-paired dinner is $75 a person.
Tuesday
Singers of all skill levels are invited to join in the Flash Chorus at Motorco in Durham tonight. The chorus will sing the best indie, retro and contemporary pop songs and make a music video. Admission is $7.
Il Palio presents a wine dinner featuring the owner Podere Sapalo vineyards and winery in Southern Tuscany. There will be five courses and wine pairings.
Wednesday
Get ready for some mind-blowing magic. The Illusionists play DPAC through Sunday. This show features some world-renowned magicians. Tickets start at $80.
Meals on Wheels holds a Fat Tuesday Scavenger Hunt tonight and kick-off party at The Big Easy.
Thursday
Urban Ministries of Wake County holds its 11th annual Stone Soup Supper tonight at N.C. State's Talley Center. The event is a fundraiser for Urban Ministries' programs to alleviate and eliminate poverty. For a donation of $25, each guest receives one piece of hand-made pottery. To-go soups are available for $10 per quart. I'll be one of the judges trying to determine which chef made the best soup, so please come out and say hi!
Head to Cat's Cradle tonight for some ice cream and beer. Craft Beer, Ice Cream and Comedy for a Climate will celebrate New Belgium and Ben and Jerry's collaboration, Salted Caramel Brownie Brown Ale, plus benefit Environment North Carolina - a statewide, citizen-funded advocacy group working for a cleaner, greener and healthier future. Tickets are $20.
Friday
NC Comicon kicks off today at Durham Convention Center. Tickets start at $15 and events continue through Sunday.
Chatham County Line and Old Habits play The Ritz tonight as part of a barbecue fundraiser for Triangle Family Services. The tailgate starts at 5 p.m. with the music at 8 p.m. Tickets start at $20.
