Monday

Head to Chuy's for the 27th annual Green Chile Festival. The special menu, available until Sept. 6, features items highlighting the green chile pepper. I checked the menu out last week and recommend the bacon wrapped pork rellenos and Fat Daddy enchiladas.

Tuesday

The Berkeley Cafe in downtown Raleigh hosts "Takeover Tuesday," where a food truck chef takes over their kitchen for the night. This week, Ryan Jacobson of Manna Food Truck, will be running the kitchen.

Wednesday

The Raleigh Downtown Farmers Market hosts its "Cheese Please!" event featuring local cheeses and a grilled cheese cook-off featuring local chefs. The fun is from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in City Plaza.
The Embers close out Lafayette Village's So Long Summer Music Series tonight. The free concert starts at 6 p.m.
Enjoy music, local artists and food and drinks deals at Glenwood South in Raleigh tonight as part of the Wednesdays on Glenwood series.

Thursday

American Aquarium plays at American Tobacco Campus in Durham tonight as part of the Back Porch Music on the Lawn Series. The free concert start at 6 p.m.
Social Distortion rocks The Ritz in Raleigh tonight. Tickets start at $43.
North Carolina Theatre's production of "Carousel" opens tonight at Fletcher Opera Theater in Raleigh. The show runs through Sunday. Tickets start at $36.

Friday

Several concerts happening tonight in the area: Darius Rucker plays Walnut Creek Amphitheatre, while Motley Crue hits PNC Arena. The Under the Sun Tour featuring Sugar Ray, Better than Ezra, Uncle Kracker and Eve 6 will be at Red Hat Amphitheater.
