RALEIGH, N.C. — From musicals to sci-fi stars, this is going to be a fun week in the Triangle.

Here are our picks:

The Got to Be NC Competition Dining Series crowns a winner tonight. Rex Healthcare's Ryan Conklin is going up against Curt Shelvey of Curt's Cucina in Southern Pines. The winning chef will move on to the Final Fire series and compete against winners from other parts of the state later this year.

Tuesday

Two hit musicals open in the Triangle tonight. Kinky Boots begins its run at the DPAC and Peter and the Staratcher plays Raleigh Memorial Auditorium. Both shows run through Sunday.

Wednesday

It's a great night for music. Elton John plays the Crown Center in Fayetteville. In the Triangle, singer-songwriter Andy Grammer will be performing at Lincoln Theatre.

Thursday
