The Fair is less than a month away! Are you ready? Are you saving your dollars for the Midway? Are you making room for a turkey leg? It won't be long now!
The North Carolina State Fair folks, who are enthusiastically embracing social media, want to bring you even closer to the Fair fun. Today they announced the first "Deep-Fried Ambassador" contest. Despite the title, this does not mean they're looking for someone to bread, dunk in hot oil, and serve with powdered sugar.
Nope, they're looking for someone to attend the pre-Fair lunch and get the inside skinny about what's new about this year's event. The winner will also get some goodies like Fair tickets, a poster, and a t-shirt!
All you've got to do to enter is write an entry on your blog about why you love the Fair, and then contact the State Fair folks via Twitter, Facebook, or e-mail. The deadline to enter is October 2nd, and the winner will be announced by October 5.
