Just in case you have to make a last minute trip to the grocery or drug store on Thanksgiving Day, here are the hours for our local stores.
Many grocery stores will be open in the morning, but some are closed all day.
Grocery and Drug Store Hours on Thanksgiving Day
Aldi will be closed on Thanksgiving Day.
Carlie C's will be open on Thanksgiving Day until 2 pm. They will be closing at 6 pm on Sunday November 29th for their company Christmas party.
CVS: Most CVS stores will be open on Thanksgiving Day. My local store is open from 8 am to 10 pm. The Pharmacy at my local store will be open from 8 am – 2 pm. Contact your store for specific hours on Thursday.
Dollar General will be open Thanksgiving Day from 7:00 am - 8 pm.
Food Lion will be open until 3 pm on Thanksgiving Day.
Harris Teeter will be open on Thanksgiving Day until 2:00 pm. They will reopen on Friday, November 27 at 8 am.
Kroger will be open until 5 pm on Thanksgiving Day. They will reopen at 7 am on Friday, November 27. All Kroger pharmacies will be closed Thanksgiving Day and will reopen at their regular time on 11/27/15.
Lowes Foods will be open until 4 pm on Thanksgiving Day, They will re-open on Friday at 7 am.
Publix stores and pharmacies will be closed on Thanksgiving Day.
Rite Aid: Most Rite Aid stores will be open on Thanksgiving Day. My local store is open from 9 am to 5 pm. The Pharmacy at my local store will be open from 9 am – 3 pm. Contact your store for specific hours on Thursday.
Target: Most stores will be open from 6 pm on Thursday, 11/26 – 11 pm on Friday, 11/27.
Walgreens: Most Walgreens stores will be open on Thanksgiving Day from 8 am - 10 pm according to their website. My local store (40/42 area near Clayton) is open from 8 am to 10 pm. Some pharmacy locations will be open and some will not. For instance, the pharmacy at the Walgreens at 40/42 will not be open. The Clayton and Fuquay Walgreens pharmacies will be open at various hours. Contact your store for specific hours on Thursday.
Walmart: Most Walmart stores will be open regular hours on Thursday. My local 24-hour store will stay open as usual. The pharmacy in my local Walmart is closed on Thanksgiving Day. See your store for details.
Mall Hours on Thanksgiving Day
Cary Towne Center in Cary opens at 6 p.m on Thanksgiving Day.
Crabtree Valley Mall in Raleigh opens at 6 p.m on Thanksgiving Day.
The Streets at Southpoint in Durham opens at 6 p.m on Thanksgiving Day.
Triangle Town Center in Raleigh opens at 6 p.m on Thanksgiving Day.

On Friday, most malls open at 6 a.m.
