Texas QB Maalik Murphy transferring to Duke
Manny Diaz didn't wait long to make a splash in his return to the head coaching ranks in the ACC. According to a report by ESPN's Pete Thamel, Texas quarterback Maalik Murphy is committing to the Blue Devils.

The redshirt freshman quarterback threw for 477 yards with three touchdowns and three interceptions this season playing behind Quinn Ewers. The Gardena, CA native was a four-star prospect coming out of Junipero Serra High School. He was the ninth-ranked quarterback in the nation as a recruit and is currently considered the fourth ranked QB to enter the transfer portal according to 247 sports.
Duke quarterback Riley Leonard transferred to Notre Dame. Duke defeated Troy 17-10 in the Birmingham Bowl Saturday.
