Tell us your fave State Fair foods
The Krispy Kreme Sloppy Joe Burger got us thinking about some of our favorite foods at the N.C. State Fair through the years.

RALEIGH, N.C. — The introduction of the Krispy Kreme Sloppy Joe Burger this year got us thinking about some of our favorite foods at the N.C. State Fair through the years.
Some popular ones have included deep-fried versions of bubble gum, Kool-Aid, Coca-Cola and even nut butter. We have even heard stories of a deep-fried roasted corn on a stick!
What about chocolate covered bacon? Or the introduction of deep-fried pecan pie, honey buns and ho-ho's?
One of my personal faves is the alligator on a stick. Oh and the deep-fried Milky Way! And the deep-fried cookie dough was great, but I can never find it!
