A Johnston County teen was critically injured Sunday when the pickup she was riding in overturned in Four Oaks, authorities said.

<b>FOUR OAKS, N.C.</b> — A Johnston County teen was critically injured Sunday when the pickup she was riding in overturned in Four Oaks, authorities said.

Irene Alonso, 17, was pinned inside the pickup after the crash, which happened at about 1 p.m. Sunday on Boyette Road, authorities said.

Alonso was taken to WakeMed, where she is being treated for head trauma and other injuries, authorities said.

The 23-year-old driver suffered minor injuries in the wreck.
