Teen, Child Grazed by Bullets

A 15-year-old and a 4-year-old were grazed by at least one bullet Wednesday morning when someone shot into their vehicle, police said.

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — A 15-year-old and a 4-year-old were grazed by at least one bullet Wednesday morning when someone shot into their vehicle, police said.

Officers responded to a shooting at about 6 a.m. in the 6700 block of Pacific Avenue, where an unidentified person shot into a white Chevrolet Trailblazer, police said. Four people, including the two youths, were inside the SUV at the time, police said.

The teen and the child were taken to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.

The assailant was believed to be in a green SUV, possibly an Isuzu Rodeo, police said.

Information about a possible motive and a description of the assailant weren't available Tuesday morning.
