Suspects sought in armed robbery of Sanford store
Don’s Value Mart, located at 4971 Edwards Road, was robbed at 7:45 p.m. on Monday by two black men who wore baseball caps. One suspect was described as shorter than the other, according to the Lee County Sheriff’s Office.
Posted — UpdatedSANFORD, N.C. — Authorities are looking for two suspects in the robbery of a Lee County convenience store this week.
Don’s Value Mart, located at 4971 Edwards Road, was robbed at 7:45 p.m. on Monday by two black men who wore baseball caps. One suspect was described as shorter than the other, according to the Lee County Sheriff’s Office.
The suspects produced black semi-automatic handguns and demanded money from the register and cigarettes, Capt. Jeff Johnson said. An unspecified amount of money and cigarettes were taken.
The suspects were last seen leaving the store on foot.

A cash reward is being offered for information leading to the arrest of the suspects.
