Suspect in Elderly Woman's Robbery Surrenders

A fourth teen suspected in a January assault on an 81-year-old woman has surrendered to Cumberland County deputies, authorities said Monday.

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — A fourth teen suspected in a January assault on an 81-year-old woman has surrendered to Cumberland County deputies, authorities said Monday.

Derrick Robinson, 19, of 429 Knapdale Road in Parkton, was charged with felony conspiracy to commit armed robbery with a dangerous weapon. He was in the Cumberland County Detention Center under a $21,500 secured bond.

Dustin Mantz, 17, Brandon Demetris Robinson, 17, and Ryan Detrell Robinson, 16, were arrested previously in the case on charges of first-degree burglary, robbery with a dangerous weapon, possession of a stolen motor vehicle and conspiracy to commit a felony.

Investigators said the four teens broke into the woman's home, robbed her at gunpoint and stole her pickup truck.
