Suspect identified in Goldsboro double shooting

Goldsboro police have identified a suspect in the shooting deaths of two men at a home in the 1000 block of Deveraux Street Friday night.

GOLDSBORO, N.C. — Goldsboro police have identified a suspect in the shooting deaths of two men at a home in the 1000 block of Deveraux Street Friday night.

According to Goldsboro police, Angelo Mandril Burden, 39, is wanted on two counts of open murder.

Goldsboro police responded to a shooting late Friday night to find Donald Lee Mewborn, 47, dead in the front yard and Gary Devon Buckom, 50, dead in the back yard. Both Mewborn and Buckom’s bodies will be sent to the N.C. Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Chapel Hill for autopsies.
