Suspect charged in string of Raleigh armed robberies
A Wendell man faces robbery and kidnapping charges in connection with several robberies in Raleigh over recent weeks.

James Loyal Liken, 34, who has addresses in both Wendell and Raleigh, was arrested Monday on one count of robbery with a dangerous weapon in connection with a mid-morning robbery at First Citizens Bank, at 7208 Creedmoor Road.
Raleigh police took Liken into custody a short time later nearly 4 miles away on Arrow Drive.
He also faces two counts of robbery with a dangerous weapon and two counts of second-degree kidnapping in connection with a Jan. 14 robbery at Bank of America, at 8371 Creedmoor Road, and a Jan. 30 robbery at Han-Dee Hugo's convenience store, at 4120 Glenwood Ave.
Liken was being held without bond Monday evening at the Wake County Detention Center.
According to the North Carolina Department of Public Safety, Liken was released from prison in July after serving six months in prison for a charge of possession of a firearm by a felon. He is also on 36 months' probation for the crime.
