Brrr! Coldest air of season coming during sunny weekend
Abundant sunshine is on tap across central and eastern North Carolina this weekend, although the bright skies won't do much to keep temperatures from cooling off considerably.

Highs Friday will be near 60 degrees, which is normal for mid-November, but weekend highs will be in the 50s, WRAL meteorologist Elizabeth Gardner said.
"It's going to be beautiful today as we dry out from Thursday's rain," she said. "Expect lots of sun and much lower humidity."
Cooler air will continue to filter into the region during the day on Friday.
By Saturday, highs will top out in the mid-50s. Overnight lows will cool down, too, settling in the 30s both Saturday and Sunday morning and 20s by early next week.
There is a small chance for rain on Sunday, Gardner said, likely during the morning hours.
"I'm not expecting any major travel issues because of this potential rain, but it could make Sunday morning a bit dreary," she said.
Monday morning lows will be in the upper 20s, the coldest air of the season so far. Daytime highs to start the week will hover in the upper 40s.
