Teen charged in school bus hit-and-run near Middle Creek High School
An Apex teen was charged Thursday after authorities say he hit a school bus near Middle Creek High School in Cary and left the scene.
Posted — UpdatedThe school bus driver and two students suffered minor injuries Thursday afternoon when the teen struck the bus with a gray Honda at about 2:30 p.m., police said.
The teen was charged with misdemeanor hit-and-run, careless and reckless driving and a passenger restriction violation, according to a Wake County arrest report.
The teen was released on $1,000 bond.
The bus was carrying about 20 students at the time of the wreck. The driver and two students were taken to WakeMed Cary as a precaution.
Damage to the bus was minor, Cary police said.
