CHARLOTTE, N.C. — The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department is investigating several different crime scenes where angry people caught up in an argument pulled out guns and shot each other.

"We've got to keep our families safe, our children safe," said Neel Jadeja, who witnessed one shooting this week.

On Tuesday morning, two men got into a car crash in Steele Creek. Video from the scene shows a dramatic fight. After one man tries to walk away, the other man shoots him, killing him.

That shooting happened only hours after two people were shot at the Pilot gas station off Statesville Avenue in Charlotte. 32-year-old Raymond Goodman died from his injuries after being transported to a local hospital.

Then on Wednesday morning, a fight broke out at the Fox & Hound restaurant in north Charlotte. As a result, one man was killed after another pulled out a gun.

Locals are concerned that many of these shootings are happening during the day, in public spaces, where anyone could be injured from stray gunfire.

Police haven't announced any arrests or charges connected to these shootings.

"To see it actually coming to this area, to come to this environment to affect my neighbors and clients, it's definitely something to be concerned about," Jadeja said.
