State to host community disaster information sessions in hurricane-impacted counties

State officials announced Friday there will be a series of 15 community disaster information sessions to provide an update on recovery resources that are available in hurricane-impacted areas of eastern North Carolina.

State officials announced Friday there will be a series of 15 community disaster information sessions to provide an update on recovery resources that are available in hurricane-impacted areas of eastern North Carolina.

The Office of Governor Roy Cooper, North Carolina Office of Recovery and Resiliency, North Carolina Emergency Management and the state departments of Environmental Quality and Health and Human Services will be partnering to host the events. Community members are encouraged to attend the sessions.

The information sessions will be held 6-7:30 p.m. at the following locations:

Monday, Aug. 26: Lumbee Tribe Southern Spirit Community Building
