Body Identified as Missing Fayetteville Woman
Police on Friday confirmed that a body found by a survey crew earlier this week is that of a Fayetteville woman missing since late last month.

The Cumberland County Sheriff's Office said that fingerprints confirmed the remains were Alfreda Scott Jones, 45, of 1470-B Distinct Circle.
Jones's twin sister, Olivia Scott, had reporter her missing after Scott stopped by Jones's home for a visit Nov. 23. Authorities said there were obvious signs of a struggle and a physical assault.
Scott told Fayetteville police that she found a patio door unlocked, furniture in disarray and a glass coffee table shattered. She said she also found blood in the bedroom.
The body was found partially covered by brush when a survey crew was working at the Mariner's Point subdivision near the Hoke County line, Cumberland deputies said.
Neighbors said Jones was a full-time student. Scott said Jones was on disability, did not work and did not have a car. Her sister said she had moved to Fayetteville last year from Denver.
