The North Carolina State Fair will host a special beer night on Friday, Oct. 14.

The event, which will take place the first full day of fair, will include a question and answer session with a panel of brewers at the fair's NC Public House.

Representatives from Wake Tech's brewing education program and Raleigh's local homebrew club, CARBOY, will also be there. Plus, there will be a brewing equipment demonstration by Atlantic Brew Supply.

This celebration of North Carolina craft breweries will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. at the NC Public House in the South Lobby of Dorton Arena.

The public house used to be located in its own building across the fairgrounds, but was moved into Dorton Arena last year.

Kegs & Corks Passes are on sale now. These passes, which are $17 online through Oct. 13, include admission to the fair and NC Public House. At the gate, the Kegs & Corks pass is $23.

Kegs & Corks Passes are valid for any one day of the fair and may be purchased for any day, not just for NC Beer Night. Passes are for those 21 years and older. Identification will be checked at the doors of the NC Public House.

The North Carolina State Fair is Oct. 13-23 at the N.C. State Fairgrounds.
