This year's N.C. State Fair is going to be bigger and better than ever. You can try 54 new foods from dozens of local restaurants.

Arepa Loca: Little Locas Empanadas

Our empanadas are fried in the shape of a half-moon made with corn flour dough. We stuff them with our Latin touch of stew made with rice, eggs seasoned with tomato, onions, garlic, cilantro and other spices, then we add chicken or beef. As a result, we have been told that they are highly addictive! Let the addiction begin!!

Chef’s D’Lites: Deep Fried Cinnamon Apple Bread Pudding Bites

Bite-sized bites of warm buttery bread pudding battered and fried until golden brown, tossed in cinnamon crunch powdered sugar, and topped with warm caramel apples, caramel sauce, butterscotch chips, praline pecans and a swirl of whipped cream; add a scoop of vanilla ice cream and make it a sundae.
