Chatham Co. Sheriff: Goldston man arrested on sex crimes
Rusty Lane Elkins, 61, was arrested and charged with multiple sex crimes, including first-degree sexual exploitation of a minor.
The Chatham County Sheriff's office announced Friday they arrested a Goldston man for multiple sex crimes.
According to the Sheriff's Office, Rusty Lane Elkins, 61, was arrested by an investigator with the office Wednesday.
In total, Elkins was charged with 17 counts of varying sex crimes, including three counts of first-degree sexual exploitation of a minor, three counts of second-degree exploitation of a minor and three counts of first-degree statutory sex offense.
Elkins' was issued a $1 million secured bond and will appear in Chatham County District Court on February 27.
