The Carolina Hurricanes have chance to sweep a best-of-seven series for the second time in franchise history Saturday. With their backs against the wall, you knew the New York Islanders would come out with a desperate push. And they did.

The Isles came out testing Freddie Andersen early. But just as he has through the first three games of the series, Freddie was solid, shutting down a point-blank opportunity to keep the game scoreless.

Just a few minutes later the Hurricanes would draw a power play and Seth Jarvis pounced on a loose puck out in front to put the Canes up 1-0. It was the second goal of the series for Jarvy, tenth playoff goal of his career.

The Hurricanes continued its momentum swing to start the second period, before Islanders forward Mat Barzal put on a one-man show to even up the game 1-1.

New York drew a penalty late in the second period and will start the third on the power play. The Hurricanes went 2-for-2 on the penalty kill in Game 3, and they have held the opposing power play scoreless in 21 of their last 24 games dating back to the regular season.

Jean-Gabriel Pageau gave the Isles the lead early in the third period, but the Hurricanes answered with six minutes late in the game. Teuvo Teravainen with a slick feed found Stefan Noesen out in front as he buried his second goal of the season to tie the game 2-2.

New York isn't going down without a fight, the two teams battled it out in the first overtime and will need more time to settle this one.

To second overtime we go!
